They result from a geostatistical model using topographic variables and temperature data from the Adviclim sensor networks (Le Roux et al., 2017). These spatialized bioclimatic indices, computed over the grapevine cycle or only one month before harvest, are useful to evaluate the effects of the spatial variability of temperatures on the spatial variability of grapevine maturity and quality. The Huglin index displays a good relation to the potential of sugar content of the grape. The cool night index computed around one month before harvesting characterizes qualitative potentialities (polyphenols, aromas, color), the high night temperatures being rather unfavorable.
